The Barre, Vermont Salvation Army, serving Central Vermont, has seen a staggering increase in their feeding programs – serving the most vulnerable Vermonters during the Covid 19 Pandemic.
The Salvation Army operates a soup kitchen and meal deliveries to people and families with food insecurities. Over the last 2 months, they have served over 15,000 meals and the need is not letting up anytime soon. This has put a major strain on their food pantry supplies. They have literally gone through a year’s supply of food in just 2 months! Their food Pantry is nearly empty and they are in critical need of more food donations.
AND, in addition to their food program, they have handed out over 1,000 hygiene and sanitation kits.
The Salvation Army desperately needs our help! Stop by to The Salvation Army at 25 Keith Avenue in Barre, Vermont or call Lieutenant Christopher West at 476- 5301 to make a monetary or food donation to help the Central Vermont Salvation Army continue to serve meals and provide much needed services.
