Join the Vermont Granite Museum for a screening of three newly-digitized historical films focused on Vermont’s granite industry. Dedicated in 1975, the Libby Dam bas-relief was manufactured by the Rock of Ages Corporation, and the first film follows the granite for this monument from quarry to installation in Montana. This film will be followed by “Training for Tomorrow,” a production featuring Tom Riley of the BGA visiting and interviewing students at the Stone Trades School at Spaulding High School. Finally, see “The Vermont Granite Story,” a film presenting granite from formation to quarrying and manufacturing.
