I grew up in a SMALL town in Central MA. (Barre, MA) YES, there are rural parts of Massachussetts. I think that's one of my pet peeves....when people think I MUST be a city chick since I'm from MA. Nope....while growing up we had, if not all at the same time: a cow, pig, chickens, dogs, cats and Dad always planted at LEAST one large garden every year.
My Husband is actually the city guy....he grew up here in Burlington!
I started in radio interning while in HS, went on to program my college station, then worked various jobs before getting the evening shift at WHYN-FM in Springfield, MA in 1989. Worked there for 5 years. Then I went accross town to play country music at WPKX (KIX 97.9) in '94. I met my husband, Brian, while working at KIX, we married in '97, our fist daughter Holly was born in '98, and we moved up here to his hometown in '99. Originally I was hired to be program director of the short lived KIX 96.7, but came over to do middays on STAR in the spring of 2000. After some time off in 2007, I just recently came back home to STAR in June of 2008. Feels GREAT to be back!!!

Mary (b 10/13/03)
Brian also has a beautiful teenage daughter Emily that lives in MA, but visits often.
